An Unromantic Comedy
Less Than 50% is a smart and witty unromantic comedy; a two-hander about something everyone can relate to – Love and all the insane, irrational, impromptu ways we try to keep it. What are you supposed to do after you fall in love?
Written and starring actor and stand-up comedian Gianmarco Soresi (that G.E. commercial guy and the star and creator of YouTube hit Matza Pizza). Less Than 50% premiered in the 2014 New York International Fringe Festival, and was selected for Fringe Encores at The Soho Playhouse.
Written by Soresi about the end of his five-year relationship with Laura, Gianmarco must navigate his neuroses and misgivings toward marriage, love and life if he is ever to marry the love of his life…or remain friends…or just get through this show without getting slapped!
Armed with stand-up comedy and a shifting fourth wall; you get the feeling the script will be re-written at a moment’s notice. It’s a meta-exploration of contemporary romance in an age of cynicism with an unforgettable twist!
Coming off-Broadway in 2018.
